Somshankar Das (Som), a native of Calcutta, is the co-founder, President and CEO of e4e, Inc. e4e Inc., specializes in providing a range of outsourcing services & solutions to both large and small businesses. They focus on building exclusive off-shore development/ transaction centers for global clients which guarantees complete data security and corporate confidentiality. Prior to e4e, Som was a General Partner with Walden International where he specialized in the semiconductor, software, IT service and Internet infrastructure markets. While there, he created a portfolio of service companies including Mind Tree Consulting, Techspan, Sierra Atlantic, WebEx and Unimobile.com. He also established the Walden India Nikko Fund, the first technology focused VC fund in India.

He currently serves on the Board of Directors of AzTec, WebEx, iSeva and Vinciti. Som has over twelve years of management experience in the US semiconductor industry, and was actively involved in the establishment of Malaysia's first commercial silicon wafer foundry providing leading edge manufacturing services to the global semiconductor industry. Prior to joining Walden, he was Director for Worldwide Business Development at VLSI Technology, Inc. and was previously an officer in the Indian Administrative Service in India. Som has an MBA from Stanford University and an MS in Physics and Mathematics from Calcutta University.
