International photo exhibition in Chuchura
Chuchura, district town of Hooghly, boasts its place in the history of Bengal. The town, landscaped by Bandel church, Imambara was the nursery for Bankimchandra’s Vandemataram. Photographic institution of Chuchura is also a significant part of this town. This association blends many streams of photography through its perennial experimentations, workshops. The association also organizes a photography exhibition every year. This year was also no exception. This year the contest was in an international scale. After a long stage preparation for a year, transformed in ‘International salon of Photography’ consisting of photos from over 50 countries at Rajmahal Bhawan, Chuchura. The total photo count was 3433 by over 515 artists. Final short listed 712 along with 60 by its members formed a part of this 4-day show. Proclaimed photographers like Benu Sen, Sushanto Bandopaddhay priested the occasion.
