Radheshyam Mandir (Bishnupur)
Completed by Malla King Chaitanya Singh in the year 1758, this temple is a startling piece of art fashioned from red Laterite rock. Having dimensions of 12.5×10.7 meters, the top of the temple culminates in a graceful dome. A class apart from the other ek-ratna temples of Bishnupur, this temple boasts of patterns and designs in geometric shapes, flowers, scenes from mythology. The entrance made of brick houses a Nahabat Khana used for concerts of Shanai and other instruments. The eastern flank of the temple has a “Tulsimanch” and kitchen. The open auditorium is on the southern side. Radeshyam, Jagganath and Gour-Nitai are the presiding deities of this temple.
